  • On 25th May, 2016 The Union cabinet Minister passed two bills in Parliament to add some communities to the Scheduled tribes category for Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Assam, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Tripura.
  • Around 500 fishermen participated in the rally to protest against Shivaji memorial site on 25th May, 2016.
  • East Delhi residents will now be able to apply for birth and death certificates online as the local body is planning to launch the facility within ten days.
