i) NTPC’s plan to build a coal based plan was scrapped by srilanka’s ministry of power and Energy on 13 September.
ii) The announcement came in order to switch to Renewable resources based energy instead of Non Renewable based.
iii) The plant was planned to be built in Triconmalee in Sri Lanka.
